Ocean Universal in Cairns has a large spearfishing selection. Not surprising — the store traded as Spearfishing Superstore, and spearo gear is still what they're known for.
The range includes rail spearguns, camo wetsuits, long-blade fins, low-volume masks, weight belts, floats, dive knives, and spearfishing accessories. Gear is picked for tropical conditions — not temperate stuff that doesn't suit visit here FNQ.
The name changed to Ocean Universal because they'd already branched into scuba and freediving gear over the years. But spearfishing gear wasn't cut back. Spearfishing is still a core part of the business.
